Your first box will be sent out on the date that you select when you check out. The second box will go out around one month later (it may be slightly less or more than one month) and after that boxes get sent out at the same time each month. Other than the first box our dispatch dates are around the 7th or the 21st day of the month.
You can place an order up until midnight the day before we send out the first box. We send out the first boxes every weekday (apart from Bank Holidays).
All boxes are sent out by Royal Mail’s 2nd class post so the vast majority of boxes arrive within 2 working days - sometimes they take a day longer to get there. Please note that there is no tracking service with 2nd class post.
There is no need for a signature and the boxes will fit through a standard letterbox. As a guide the boxes with one pair of socks are the size of one compliment slip and the boxes with two pairs of socks are the size of 2 compliment slips side-by-side - the height of the boxes is 2cm.
Unfortunately not. We send all the boxes out using the standard Royal Mail postal service which covers the whole of the UK, but not beyond.
Yes you can. Sign in to your account and go to the subscription you wish to delay. Click the "Change dispatch date" link and you will be able to delay when we send the next box by up to 3 months.
Yes you can. Sign in to your account and go to the subscription for which you wish to change the payment method. Click "Change payment method" and enter the new payment card. Please note that the payment method is per subscription so if you have more than one recurring subscription with us please change the card on all subscriptions.
We never like to see our customers go, of course. If there is a problem please contact us as we are sure we can sort it out. However, we are not one of those subscription sites that makes it virtually impossible to cancel… sign in to your account, select the subscription you want to cancel and select "Modify plan" - you can cancel your subscription there and this means we will not charge your card again. Any boxes that are still due to be sent out as part of your plan will be dispatched on the same schedule but we will not renew the plan.
Yes we can. This is a common request and so we have designed our site so that you can let us know one delivery address for the first box and then a different delivery address for all the subsequent boxes - this is all handled in the checkout screens.
Again this is a common request and so we have included an option for you to specify a “Do Not Open Until…” date when checking out. This message will then be clearly printed on the address label on the box. Additionally, if you specify a “Do Not Open Until” date then the first box is sent out in plain packaging so your gift remains a secret.
No problem. Just go to the My Account area and you can change the address for the subscription there.
Definitely not! Our gift subscriptions lasts for as long as you specify and pay for at the start. There are no more boxes sent after this and there is no more to pay.
The men’s socks are a UK size 7-11 (EU size 41-45) and the women’s socks are a UK size 4-7 (EU size 37-40).
Our socks are cotton socks. They contain high-grade cotton (obviously!), nylon and elsatane.
No! All the socks that we have in our subscription boxes have been designed exclusively for us. They are unique to Socks In A Box!
Unfortunately not, the socks that are sent out for each product/subscription length are selected in advance. We have spent a lot of time to ensure that the socks that the recipient receives are consistent with the theme of the product but also different enough from month to month to keep things interesting.
