Manna House

Manna House

Manna House is a drop-in based at the Baptist Church in Hanley for the homeless and vulnerable in Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding area. It began by serving a hot meal every Thursday night and grew when it became apparent that the needs of those on the streets were greater than first thought.

Nowadays, Manna House provides a safe place to eat and talk, as well as help our guests through links to other support agencies within the city.

Services offered include:

  • Healthcare - many of our visitors are unable to access the healthcare system, so the community nurse provides an open surgery every week.
  • Welfare - support through friendship as well as practical help with things like financial planning
  • Food - good hot food is available to whoever needs it

“Just having someone there to listen and care, can help bring healing when you’re hurting and bring about hope in your hopelessness.”

Socks In A Box is proud to be able to support Manna House with a donation of socks through our #socksforgood initiative. For every order we receive while Manna House is our charity partner we will donate a pair of new socks.
